These Terms and Conditions of Use apply to all the Gypsy Cab Nosara websites. By using this website, you agree to our terms of use. If you disagree with these Terms and Conditions, we may not be able to give you the service you deserve.

It is your responsibility to check these terms of use.


Gypsy Cab Nosara reserves the right to change rates, itineraries, or schedules at all times and to arrange alternative transportation, accommodations, or services; or to cancel bookings.

We have a 24-hour reservation policy to ensure that a vehicle will be available to you on the date requested, as well as a written confirmation with their transfer details.

Gypsy Cab Nosara will not be held liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage from activities under the control of other agents or service providers, including, but not limited to, claims for death, personal injury, delays, or additional expenses that may arise when using a service arranged through us.

Operation Policy

Gypsy Cab Nosara offers private and shared shuttle transportation throughout Costa Rica. Reservations are required for every service.

The reservation must specify names and number of passengers, date of service, flight information, and pick up and drop off places.

Customers without reservations will not be allowed to board the shuttles even if there is space available.

Fare Changes

The price of service appears on the itinerary for each service requested.

This price is one-way only unless it is specified otherwise. According to our policies, if a customer wants or needs to change a reservation, our trip representatives may make an additional charge or refund.

Gypsy Cab Nosara assumes no liability for:

  • Any luggage loss or damage.
  • Articles carried in the passenger cabin.
  • Minor damage such as scratches, scuffs, stains, dents, cuts, and dirt resulting from normal wear and tear.
  • Damage to contents if the outside of the hard-sided case is not damaged.
  • Any indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special damages resulting from loss, damages for lost revenue or profits, loss of use, or business interruption.
  • Loss or damage to carry-on items left unsupervised by the passenger. This includes carry-on items incorrectly stored within the luggage area of the bus.
  • Any personal belongings left in our vehicles.

Gypsy Cab Nosara assumes no responsibility for

  • Damage to or loss of protruding luggage parts such as wheels, straps, pockets, pull handles, hanger hooks, or other items attached to the luggage.


As in the private services and the shuttle, we will not accept luggage which size, weight, or characteristics makes it unsuitable for transportation on the minivan.

Other than exceptions for certain special items, no article will be accepted as luggage if it weighs more than 75 kg or has a total outside linear dimension of 1.60 m

Luggage Allowance for each passenger:

2 pieces and one carry on

Our bus structures cannot transport wheelchairs or any other kind of power chair. Still, you can ask about this service with our customer support representative for further information.


Children under 12 years of age will be accepted for transportation when accompanied by a passenger of at least 18 years of age.

Gypsy Cab Nosara will not accept unaccompanied children under 12 years of age under any circumstances. Unaccompanied teenagers over 12 years of age will be accepted and considered adults, not as children.

Children under 8 years pay half-price of the ticket in the shuttle.


At Gypsy Cab Nosara, seeing-eye dogs accompanied by their owner are welcome; this service animal is the responsibility of its owner and must be under the control of its owner at all times (i.e., leash, harness, or carrier). The service animal must ride in the minivan within the customer's space. Service animals may not travel in the aisle or occupy a seat.

Gypsy Cab Nosara reserves the right to refuse passage to any animal that poses a direct threat to the health and safety of other customers, personnel, or contractors.


If you decide not to use the service, Gypsy Cab Nosara will issue a refund as follows:

If the itinerary is totally unused, Gypsy Cab Nosara will refund the full amount paid. However, an administrative service charge or refund penalty up to the full amount paid may be assessed if applicable. This is according to the cancellation policies.

If the itinerary is partially used, the refund will be the difference between the fare paid and the fare for the transportation actually used as determined by the applicable rules.

Services purchased with a credit card will be refunded only as a credit to the credit card account.

Some tickets are not refundable.

Cancellation Policies.

We must request cancelation up to 24 hours before the reservation date.

If you had paid with a credit card, Gypsy Cab Nosara would provide the refunds within 10 business days of receipt of the required refund information.

The credit card refund may take up to two billing cycles before appearing on a credit card statement, so you should contact your credit card company directly to verify receipt of the credit.

  • Cancellations can be made free of charge within 24 hours before departure; after that term, We will charge 100% of the rate.
  • NO SHOWS will be charged 100% of the rate.
  • In the shuttle, the pick-up time may vary by about 15 minutes, depending on the operation...
  • The driver will wait for a maximum of 5 minutes for a customer at the pick-up location, as this is a shared service.
  • If the passenger doesn't show up 10 minutes past the pickup time, they will be considered NO SHOWS, and Gypsy Cab Nosarawill charge 100% of the rate. In a Transfer from the airport, the waiting time is one hour after the flight lands.
  • If for any reason, including delayed flight arrival, the passenger is not in place and Gypsy Cab Nosara confirms the time, Gypsy Cab Nosara will charge 100% (No Show).
  • Each passenger is allowed one carry-on and two items of luggage.
  • If the passenger travels with an additional luggage piece, it is considered extra luggage and must be previously reserved. Each extra luggage will be charged, according to the existing rate. $ 5
  • Carry-on items are the passenger's responsibility during the trip and should remain with the passenger during the travel.
  • We do not transport bicycles or kayaks. All items other than luggage must be notified, and we do reserve the right of transportation.
  • Children under 8 years of age pay 50% of the adult rate. Children between 6 months and 3 years of age must use a baby car seat or booster during the trip. These are provided by the client. We may provide them free of charge, but it must be requested when making the reservation.
  • All transfers include a 10-minute rest stop, usually in the gas station. This stop may be a connection point or may involve a change of vehicle depending on the route.
  • No pets will be allowed on the vans (Except for guide dogs accompanied by their owners).

We can not be held responsible for schedule changes in ferry services or accidents and/or loss of luggage during the trip on the ferry.
