In prior blogs, we covered all we needed to know before visiting Nosara, including the history, what to bring, what to anticipate, and how to get there. We have also seen the many forms or modalities of lodging, and now we begin with the precise details about the places, first making pricing categories.

In the same manner that we saw an example of the 10 fanciful residences you can rent in Nosara using the Airbnb app in the previous post, this time we will focus on a review of the most costly hotels in Nosara.

In Nosara, we have a broad range of accommodation options, including alternative lodging and standard hotels. Although it is impossible to discuss typical hotels in Nosara because all of its lodging alternatives in the hotel mode are provided by tiny boutique hotels.

They have a broad range of room arrangements, making it difficult to speak about a standard or anything approximating uniformity. Even within the same hotel, practically all of the rooms are distinctive.

However, we conducted a pricing comparison for a “normal” accommodation in double occupancy, and the results yielded the following rating. In the following list, we break down the ten most costly “traditional” hotels in Nosara and rate them from lowest to most.

Number 10 The Nomadic

We begin this count with Nomadic’s position number 10, where you can rent a room in double occupancy for $200 to $300.

This is a hotel for couples or single people exclusively, as children and dogs are not permitted. The Nomadic Hotel is strategically positioned in Nosara’s Playa Guiones, a 15-minute walk from the surf location and beach.

The rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a fan, and WiFi. Every morning, a complementary breakfast is offered. Some rooms include private courtyards and pool-side patios, while others have front porch coverings and privacy drapes.

Beer is available in the saltwater pool bar. The outdoor yoga pavilion hosts yoga courses. There are several communal spaces, free parking, free high-speed internet (wifi), a concierge, and the establishment is non-smoking.

Number 9 Living Hotel

The Living hotel, on number nine, is surrounded by gorgeous tropical gardens and is only a 3-minute walk from the beach, with rooms ranging from $225 to $300 in double occupancy.

The layout of the Living Hotel is modern yet traditional Costa Rican, without sacrificing comfort or charm. The guest rooms are a terrific place to unwind and contemplate.

Their visitors adore the amazing atmosphere of rustic charm in a contemporary setting. The gorgeous rainforest atmosphere of the Living Hotel is conveniently positioned and next to a variety of restaurants, social hotspots for live music, surfing, yoga, ATV rentals, and the convenience of Delicias de Mundo grocery store.

The hotel features a large pool, a lovely rancho, a lounge, hammocks for relaxing, free wifi, daily yoga instruction, and a restaurant/juice bar. The rooms are spotless, beautiful, and modest, with comfy mattresses and plenty of storage space.

Each room has a mini-fridge, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and ceiling fans, a laptop-sized safe box, and daily housekeeping service. Lush tropical gardens, exotic birds singing, and the ever-present howler monkeys set the stage for your getaway on a private or shared patio with hammocks and sitting area.

Hotel Olas Verdes is ranked seventh, with double occupancy rooms ranging from $265 to $345.

Olas Verdes is a small boutique beach hotel on the beach and next to the Ostional-Nosara National Wildlife Refuge. It provides the desired quiet while yet providing easy access to beach and surf.

Olas Verdes is an authentic Costa Rican hotel staffed by locals eager to show you our culture and the natural beauty that surrounds Nosara. It is an all-suite hotel on Playa Guiones with an excellent position.

This is Costa Rica’s first LEED Platinum sustainable boutique beach hotel and a member of Adventure Hotels of Costa Rica. It provides culture, privacy, and pura vida.

Number 6 Lagarta Lodge

The Lagarta Lodge comes in the sixth position, with rooms ranging from $256 to $355 for two guests.

The eco-lodge is located at the top of the Cerro Lagarta ridge, which was named for an iguana species. This offers stunning views of sunsets, beaches, woodlands, and hills, not to mention the hotel-owned private nature reserve Reserva biológica, which encompasses ninety acres.

They invite you to enjoy the spectacular view of the entire coastline. Or to wonder at the lodge’s unique native birds and vegetation. Why not enjoy the stunning landscape from one of our infinity pools?

As you stroll around the grounds, you’ll come across the award-winning Harmony Healing Centre, which was designed to be a relaxing and tranquil refuge and provides a full menu of all-natural, handcrafted skin treatments, massage therapy, an open-air yoga class, and a meditation shala.

It offers a day spa, a library, a restaurant on-site, and an outdoor pool. It is a non-smoking establishment featuring non-smoking rooms, WiFi, and air conditioning.
