Welcome to Gypsy Cab Nosara. By using our website, services, and booking platforms, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users of our services, including website visitors, clients, and third-party collaborators. Please read them carefully.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website at www.gypsycabnosara.com or booking our transportation services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.


2. Company Information

The term "Gypsy Cab Nosara", "we," "our," or "us" refers to the service provider based in Nosara, Costa Rica, operating as a fully licensed and insured tourist transportation company under Costa Rican law.

The term "you" refers to the user, customer, or viewer of our website and services.


3. Use of Our Website

  • The content provided on this website is for general informational purposes and may change without notice.

  • We use cookies to enhance your experience. By browsing our website, you agree to our use of cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of website content.

  • You are responsible for ensuring any services or information available through this site meet your specific needs.

4. Scope of Services

We offer private and shared tourist transportation services, including but not limited to:

  • Transfers to and from Liberia Airport (LIR), San José Airport (SJO), and Nosara Airport (NOB).

  • Point-to-point transportation across Costa Rica.

  • Local rides and custom group transfers.

To meet high demand, we may collaborate with carefully vetted third-party providers. When we do, Gypsy Cab Nosara remains responsible for the quality of the service delivered.


5. Permits and Insurance

We are a registered transportation company in Costa Rica and fully compliant with national laws and tourism transport regulations. All services are covered by insurance issued by the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS). In the event of an incident, passengers are fully protected under these policies.


6. Payment, Deposits, and Refunds

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept PayPal and major credit cards.

  • Deposit: A $50 USD non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

  • Refunds:

    • PayPal: Processed within 24 hours.

    • Credit Cards: May take up to 45 days, depending on your issuer.

  • Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up time are eligible for a refund (excluding the deposit).

    • Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.

  • Modifications:

    • You may request changes up to 5 business hours before the scheduled service.

    • Last-minute changes are subject to availability and at our discretion.

    • Office hours: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (CST/GMT -6)

  • No-Shows:

    • A delay of more than 10 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time without communication is considered a no-show, and the full service will be charged.


7. Airport Transfers and Waiting Policy

  • For shared shuttles, pick-up times may vary up to 15 minutes.

  • Our drivers wait up to 5 minutes at the pick-up point for shared services.

  • For airport pickups, the driver will wait up to 1 hour after the flight lands.

    • If you're not at the designated location within this window, the service will be marked as a no-show, and the full fee applies.

  • For delayed flights, drivers may wait up to 4 hours after the scheduled pick-up time.


8. Luggage and Special Items

  • Standard Luggage:

    • Each passenger may bring up to 2 suitcases and 1 carry-on.

    • Oversized or overweight items (over 75kg or 2 meters in length) must be pre-approved.

  • Surfboards:

    • No extra fee, but you must declare quantity and size during booking.

  • Bicycles, Kayaks, and Wheelchairs:


9. Children and Minors

  • Children under 12 must travel with an adult (18+).

  • Minors 12 and older may travel alone with parental consent and are charged as adults.

  • Booster or child seats can be arranged in advance upon request.


10. Behavior and Safety Policy

  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:

    • Harassment or inappropriate behavior

    • Discrimination of any kind

    • Physical or verbal aggression

  • Passengers and drivers are expected to behave respectfully at all times.

  • Any misconduct may result in immediate service termination without refund.

11. Driver Conduct and Legal Compliance

  • Our drivers adhere to Costa Rican traffic laws and prioritize safety.

  • We will not accommodate requests to speed, bypass laws, or engage in unsafe behavior.

  • Any attempt to pressure drivers into illegal conduct will result in the immediate cancellation of the service without refund.


12. Pricing and Fare Adjustments

  • We reserve the right to update our prices at any time.

  • Confirmed bookings retain the agreed-upon price unless the customer requests additional services or changes.


13. Rest Stops and Transfers

  • Each journey may include a 10-minute rest stop, usually at a gas station.

  • Vehicle changes may occur at midpoint locations depending on the route and efficiency.

  • Extended stops (supermarket, restaurant) must be arranged in advance and should not exceed 30 minutes.

14. Limitation of Liability

Gypsy Cab Nosara is not liable for service interruptions caused by:

  • Road closures or construction

  • Acts of God or extreme weather

  • Labor strikes or protests

  • Government restrictions or curfews

  • Flight delays beyond our wait policy

Our liability is limited to the value of the service fee for the specific booking and excludes indirect or consequential losses.


15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
